My Professional Background
I’ve had an extensive (and varied) background in both product and service marketing. Most recently, I served as Marketing Director for American Repertory Ballet/ARB’s Princeton Ballet School, New Jersey’s leading Dance Company. At ARB, I led the organizations’ re-branding efforts in anticipation of their 50th anniversary in May 2004.
As Communications Director for the Association of Performing Arts Presenters, I managed the marketing and promotional efforts of the country’s largest Performing Arts trade organization, including the organizations’ 4,000+ attendee Annual Conference. My work on developing a web-based arts booking and research application forms the core of Arts Presenters current strategic technology plan.
As Director of Marketing at the Environmental Law Institute (ELI), I led the redefinition of the organizations identity, and was instrumental in the negotiations with Thompson Publications to turn ELI’s flagship loose-leaf reporting service into a searchable CD-ROM.
I began his marketing career with CRC Press, Inc., a division of Times Mirror Corporation. As the youngest Product Manager in the Times Mirror Corporation at the time, I guided the marketing and promotion of a $14 million product line in Environmental Science, Chemistry, and Landscape Sciences.
In college, I spent most of my time between WCMO-TV, Marietta College’s cable station and WMRT-FM, Marietta College’s 10,000 watt Jazz & Classical Station, serving at various times as Assistant Station Manager, Jazz Producer, board operator, on-air talent, recording engineer, and news anchor.
I am a member of WBGO, a pretty-bad golfer, and not-so-bad HTML dabbler in my spare time.
